Pod Farm

Mix an entire song using only Pod Farm inserts!


About

Annual "Mix it with Pod Farm" contest. You must use the provided audio to mix an entire song using only Pod Farm as your plugin insert on any track. Each mix will be blindly judged on sonic quality and once the final five mixes have been selected, a session will be required for each mix.

The song that you are required to mix is "Through Arteries - "This Is The End" (Stems provided by Cory Brunnemann) and three prizes will be available for the top three mixes.

Winners will be chosen via a blind test voting system by the members of the Joey Sturgis Forum. Winner will be announced September 1, 2014

Contestants and users do not have rights or permission to use the work for monetary or social gain and may not claim any credit in connection to the song, its artist, producers, and engineers.

If you are participating, you agree to all of the rules and guidelines on this page. The rules and guidelines on this page may also change at any time, and you also agree to abide by these changes if you wish to participate.

  • 1st place: $100.00 USD
  • 2nd place: $50.00 USD
  • 3rd place: $25.00 USD




Rules & Requirements


  • You must only use the audio that is provided
  • You cannot add your own audio
  • You cannot use or add any drum samples
  • Pod Farm and Pod Farm Elements can be the only plug-in insert(s) on any track.
  • You cannot use any DAW plug-ins or other plug-ins other than Pod Farm and Pod Farm Elements
  • You cannot use any additional outboard gear (like sending a snare to an outboard compressor and recording the result)
  • You can use multiple instances of Pod Farm and any of the individual pod farm elements.
  • You have to use the audio provided.
  • If you use any other sounds other than that which are provided, you will be disqualified.
  • Any DAW can be used.
  • You can use your DAW’s editing / cutting / copying / pasting / normalizing / volume and panning functions.
  • You can automate Pod Farm and DAW Volume, DAW sends, inputs, outputs, faders, and panners
  • You cannot use your DAW’s pitch shift or reverse functions.
  • Grouping and FX sends are allowed.
  • You can enter the contest as a team, but the team can be no more than two people.
  • Top 5 contestants will be required to submit entire mixing session to confirm the rules and guidelines were followed. If a disqualification is detected, the next runner up will be asked to submit their session.
